A Canadian Government Department was studied for four years on a comprehensive workplace wellness program to reduce the severity of musculoskeletal disorders. The findings were astounding.
The Healthy LifeWorks Program evaluated a total of 233 employees.
The RESULTS:
• Approximately 10% decrease in the 12 month prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders, ranging from 4% hip/thigh problems and 12% lower and upper back problems.
• The proportion of employees that reported musculoskeletal problems that interfered with their normal work during the past 12 months decreased from 83% to 46%.
This definitive study demonstrated that programs of wellness, education in ergonomics, correct posture, and joint health improved musculoskeletal health and emotional wellbeing.
Similar to the Canadian results, ERGOhealthy continues to have comparable success and outcomes.
